Welcome to the home page of The Orissa Society of the Americas (OSA). OSA is a more than 3 decades old organization of the people in North America with a love for and roots in Orissa. The society was incorporated in 1981 in Tennessee as a non-profit corporation for promoting activities for a better understanding of Oriya culture and exchange of information between Orissa, United States and Canada. OSA is a non-political, non-profit, and voluntary association recognized as a 501(c)(3) public non-profit in the United States.  For history buffs, people of Orissa origin in the North America had started organizing as far back as 1969 when an ssociation was formed in Boston. OSA currently has over 600 active member families; the membership is open to individuals and families interested in Orissa, the eastern coastal state of India.  We whole-heartedly encourage you to be a part of this organization.
