Souvenir team invites articles from all OSA Member Families for
articles in Oriya and English as well as any art works
you may like to publish in 2009 OSA Souvenir. Any
help to find sponsors will be highly appreciated. - Souvenir Team
Every year, we all converge to celebrate the pride and
privilege, Orissa has given us. We cherish the memories
we have accumulated in Orissa or in relation to Orissa,
the lands we so fondly love. We have tried to achieve
something in a faraway land, bridging the gap of seven
seas, separating us from our motherland - physically. In
thoughts, the land of Orissa has a special place in our
hearts.
After the annual convention, as a memoir, we take back our
interaction with families and friends, conversations,
events we saw in a momentary sojourn of 2-3 days. A
journal of thoughts, people alike have contributed -is
souvenir - which has stood out tall – over the years.
Souvenir is an attempt to capture all these thoughts in
the form of stories, travel blogs, poems, youth
writings, audio renditions of poems, crosswords
and many more.
Last Date for receiving contributions: Apr 30th, 2009*
The team is planning to put together an audio versions for
poem, stories and other articles which could be
suitable.

Acceptable Format
We invite articles in Microsoft word format, photos
(.jpg), Video clips, and poem renditions in MP3 format.
We encourage all to send Oriya articles using Odiphon.
Odiphon is an Oriya editor to create documents with
Oriya font which is easy to use, free and can be
downloaded from publication link of http://www.orissasociety.org

About Author
While sending articles, please write a few lines about
yourselves. Articles from Authors below 21 years of age
will be published in youth section.

About the article
We only request that the articles be readable, of good
taste, of reasonable length, related to Orissa and/or to
the Oriya expatriate experience, and/or to the life of
second and third generation of young Oriyas. We
especially invite youth to write about their own
experiences in growing up in multiple cultural
environs.

Souvenir team has full authority to decide the contents of the
souvenir including articles and art works.

We also invite imaginative, artistic, color designs for the
front cover of Souvenir. Various artworks are also
needed for inside pages, small Sketches, artistic

organized by our directory team. You can help us by
updating your own postal, phone and web, net coordinates
by sending e-mail to our directory team as above. As the
directory information is available to OSA members, OSA
