OSA's membership is open to any person eighteen years of age or more, interested in the stated objectives of the article. Membership fee is the
primary source of income and membership is the most important asset for OSA. Membership has been broadly categorized as benefactors, patrons, life members and annual members. We whole-heartedly encourage you to be a part of this organization. Please fill out a membership form and send your contribution with any current promotional discount

New Membership Promotion valid till December 31, 2007.

Annual Member: OSA Annual membership at $10/single & $15/family where the membership is valid till the end of June 2008.

Note that only annual members have a distinction between Family and Single. All other memberships apply to family category, and "life-long" for the paying member.
- All new or upgraded Life and Patron members receive a $50 discount from the base membership fee.
For example,

Fee for a new Life member is $250

Fee for upgrade from Life to Patron is $600(base) - $300(current level) - $50(discount) = $250

Because of the special honor that Benefactor, our highest level, implies, we don't have a discount for new or upgrading Benefactors.

Thus, e.g., the fee for upgrade from Patron to Benefactor level is $1000 (base) - $600(current level) = $400

Supporting members: Persons, families or organizations can become a Supporting Member by contributing to OSA at least
$100 a year (Non-voting).

Current annual members can upgrade to a higher category and get a $25 credit against their current annual membership.
For example, to upgrade to Life (Patron) Membership they pay $225 ( $525, respectively)
which includes the $50 discount and the $25 credit.

Various additional fun incentives:
a. A raffle for all new or upgraded Life, Patron and Benefactor Members offering one FREE airline ticket to fly to Delhi/Bombay from New York is being planned.
Life members will get one raffle ticket, Patrons 2 and Benefactors 4
raffle tickets for a raffle drawing for the airline ticket later at the
convention. More details to follow -- this is an idea that we
are publishing before all details are settled because of the Kumar
Purnima occasion coming just too soon, just a few days after our assuming
the OSA office.
b. OSA members can earn $10 for successfully recruiting a new life/patron/benefactor up to a maximum amount of $50
.
(The new member has to acknowledge the recruiting member for the pay
out. OSA BOG members are not qualified to get this incentive.)
